ADOPTED July 23, 2024
NASIG develops and maintains approximately 20 different categories of materials that could be digitally preserved. Acknowledging that NASIG is a fully-volunteer-run organization with limited assets to maintain digital preservation activities, not all of NASIG’s digital materials will be formally preserved.
NASIG commits to digitally preserve the following materials via a stable, low/no cost digital preservation repository:

NASIG uses Zenodo to digitally preserve these materials. Zenodo is a general-purpose, open repository managed and funded by CERN, and as such fulfilled the stability requirement. There are no financial costs associated with uploading materials to Zenodo, and Zenodo registers DOIs with DataCite. NASIG has developed a Community on Zenodo to manage the above materials.
The Communications Committee is charged with maintaining this commitment. Please contact the Communications Committee for details regarding this maintenance. For more information about Digital Preservation, explore the work of the NASIG Digital Preservation Committee.
