Membership Committee
Charge
The overall goal of the Membership Development Committee is to maintain or increase membership numbers each year once the optimal levels have been reached.
The Committee's objectives shall include:
- To recommend target membership levels to the Executive Board, both overall and for each identifiable constituency;
- To recommend which groups shall be designated by the Board as targeted constituencies within NASIG (this shall provide the structure used for analysis of membership statistics, which will provide a guide for the Committee's plans);
- To increase membership numbers to the desired levels, both overall and for each constituency as designated by the Executive Board;
- To garner a working knowledge of issues which affect membership levels, both at the overall level and for each designated constituency group;
- To recommend to the Board methods for achieving these target membership levels;
- To support the relevant portions of NASIG's Financial Plan.
The Committee will carry out their objectives in coordination with other committees as appropriate.
One member of this Committee will also serve on the Library School Outreach Task Force.
